• Homework 2 (due 10/9):  5.2: #33, 35, 34, 36. Include a sketch of each region. 5.3: #49, 50, 53, 54. 5.4: #7, 8, 14, 15. 5.5: Choose two odd- and two even-numbered problems from #1–6. Choose three odd- and three even-numbered problems from #7–36. Choose one odd- and one even-numbered problem from #41–57. #61.
• Homework 3 (due 10/16):  5.6: Choose two odd- and two even-numbered problems from #3–14. Choose two odd- and two even-numbered problems from #15–24. Choose one odd- and one even-numbered problem from #25–30. #48 is also very interesting, although I'm not assigning it. 5.7: Choose one odd- and one even-numbered problem from #1–6. Choose one odd- and one even-numbered problem from #15–18.
• Homework 4 (due 10/23):  5.7: Choose one odd- and two even-numbered problems from #21–28. 5.8: Choose two odd- and two even-numbered problems from #1–22. One suitable computer algebra system is Wolfram Alpha, but there are many others. 5.9: Choose one odd- and one even-numbered problem from #7–16. Only do parts (a) and (c). #28. This is similar to #31, which is not assigned. 5.10: Postponed till next week.
