The Shanks Lab

Welcome to the Shanks lab at the Oregon Institute of Marine Biology (OIMB).  We have broad research interests ranging from biological oceanography to limpet behavior. The general theme to our research is a fascination with the interaction of the physical realm and the biological. Much of our present research effort is directed at understanding how physical oceanographic features combined with larval behavior affect larval dispersal and delivery to shore.  For more information on the research in the Shanks lab visit our individual pages.  For more information on joining Team Shanks as a student or volunteer, visit the Prospective Students page.
