The Laboratory Safety Committee, in conjunction with Environmental Health and Safety, is responsible for implementing the Chemical Hygiene Plan. It is also responsible for review of reports regarding laboratory safety practices and recommending appropriate changes to improve employee safety.
On an annual basis, the Chemical Hygiene Plan will be reviewed and evaluated
for effectiveness by Environmental Health and Safety and the laboratory
safety committee. It will be updated as necessary. Any changes in the Chemical
Hygiene Plan will be transmitted to all departments who are in possession
of the plan.
