Hi All:

Our next meeting of the faculty governance committee is Thursday, 10/15 at 9:30 in the Lewis Lounge. There are a number of points for discussion:

  • consideration of potential university/senate committee functions that could be assumed by the statutory faculty assembly
  • feedback on applicability of OPML to internal governance bodies
  • consideration of potential motions for the 11/18/09 statutory faculty meeting (for more detail on each of these please go to the fac-gov-comm website ( http://www.uoregon.edu/~assembly/dirSF/FGC.html and click on the link for "Other related documents"):
  • faculty senate
  • proposal from Frank Stahl and Nathan Tublitz
  • details of mechanism for statutory faculty to meet
  • schedule for subsequent meetings - potentially Th at 9:30 every other week
