~ Meet our 2013-2014 Peer Advisors ~

John Houlihan

Hi, my name is John Houlihan and I am a junior at the U of O this year. I am originally from Salem and am working on my Bachelors of Science in Chemistry. I am working on my pre-med requirements and will hopefully be attending the University of Arizona Medical School in a few years. I'm really outgoing and love Chemistry. I am here to help out anyone that has a Chemistry question, and don't be afraid to come to the peer advising office with any Chemistry questions you may have.

Lyle McPherson

Hi! My name is Lyle McPherson, I am a junior in the Biochemistry program. I am interested in continuing on to graduate school to further focus my studies to molecular genetics and the biochemistry behind protein function. I graduated from Lincoln School in Kathmandu, Nepal, and I love to travel, read and camp in the summer.

Jonathan Picon

My name is Jonathan Picon and though I am originally from Los Angeles, CA, I have called Oregon my home for the past 3 years. I am currently a sophomore at the U of O and am a chemistry major. I would like to obtain a Master's degree in forensic chemistry where my emphasis would consist mainly of trace evidence and ballistic analysis. My career interests lie mainly in the federal sector. I would like to work with the forensics department at the FBI Western Headquarters in San Diego(in reality, any FBI office on the East or West Coast would do!).
