  <p><strong><em>IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE CLASSES BEGIN:</em></strong>
  <p><font size="4">You will need to purchase the book <em>new</em> from the <em>UO 
    Bookstore</em>. It comes bundled with a CD and access numbers to gain access 
    to a web site. It is important that you purchase the bundle from the UO bookstore 
    or you will not get access to the web site. This is a new edition so you cannot 
    buy it used. The name of the book is <em>Macroeconomics, Principles and Tools</em>, 
    O'Sullivan and Sheffrin, 3rd Edition, Prentice Hall.</font></p>
  <p><span style='font-size:13.5pt'>I am using 2 Blackboard sites to manage my 
    Fall 2002 Macroeconomics Course.&nbsp; You will need access to BOTH these 
    Blackboard sites. The sites are:</span>
  <p><span style="font-size: 13.5pt">1. <strong>Intro Econ Analy Macro [Fall 02] 
    Course ID: EC202F02</strong>. This site contains my syllabus, assignments, 
    contacts, announcements, practice exams and review sheets. You can access 
    this site the way you normally access Blackboard sites on campus. I'll give 
    instructions below.</span>
  <p><span style="font-size: 13.5pt">2.I<strong>ntro Econ Analy Macro--PH supplement 
    [Fall 02] Course ID: EC202F02PH</strong>. This site contains course content 
    directly related to the book and was created by the publisher. Once in blackboard, 
    click on the site with the name I<strong>ntro Econ Analy Macro--PH supplement</strong> 
    under <em>My Courses</em>. Click on <em>My Documents</em>, then select the 
    Chapter you are interested in. You will need to type in your Student Access 
    Key to get to this site. (</span><span style='font-size:13.5pt'>It a code 
    of about 25 digits --letters and numbers.) T</span><span style="font-size: 13.5pt">he 
    pin number appears on a cardboard sheet budled with your book. Once you have 
    done this sucessfully one time, you will not need to enter the Student Access 
    Key again.</span>

    to access all my current course materials.&nbsp; Most students that enrolled 
    in my course have gotten a username for Blackboard.&nbsp; This is probably 
    your the username from your gladstone account.&nbsp; Your password is your 
    student number. This should have been sent to you in an email from the Blackboard 
    administrator.&nbsp;<span style='color:#990000'><i>If you got a username follow 
    the instructions below for accessing Blackboard:</i></span></span>
