Mount Jefferson (Oregon Cascades; 10,497')

Mount Jefferson is the second-highest mountain in Oregon. Its impressive summit pinnacle is not nearly as crumbly as the books want to make you believe. The mountain is surrounded by very nice hanging valleys that make good base camps.
