As of May 2000, the lexicographic data base has over 3,000 entries, from IlKeekonyokie, IlWuasinKishu, IlPurko, Samburu, and IlKisongo dialects. The lexicographic data base is being built by a combination of traditional linguistic field methods, and by interactive parsing of Maasai texts.

were developed by Leonard Kotikash, Cynthia Schneider, and Doris Payne.
