Alumni Profiles: Where are they now?

Rick Streiff (BS, 1977) is currently a Senior Geologist for a gold exploration program in New Zealand. Prior to his move south, Rick gained experience in 5+ underground mines in Nevada and Washington.
Tim Dawson (BS, 1994) is working as an engineering geologist for the State of California. His current responsibilities are in the Geologic Mapping and School Site Review Programs for the state. On the side, Tim still practices his paleoseismic skills that he learned from Professor Ray Weldon.
TC Hales (PhD, 2006) completed his thesis under the guidance of Professor Roering. After a short time as a postdoc, he recently joined the faculty at Cardiff University in Wales.
Diana Roman (PhD, 2004) is now an assistant professor at the University of South Florida. Diana performed her thesis work with Professor Kathy Cashman and collaborators at the USGS on a volcano seismology project.
Mark Hemphill-Haley (PhD, 1999) was recently promoted to associate professor at Humboldt State University. He also just returned from a 4 month visit to New Zealand where he was working with GNS Science on the paleoseismology of faults on the North and South Islands.
