Students who need a full 6-week field camp to satisfy their degree requirements will want to take all three of the above courses. Students with other degree requirements may take one or two courses, with the restriction that students attending the Montana portion must take both Montana segments. Please apply for each course individually (forms below). We welcome applications from both Oregon and non-UO students. We will give admissions priority to UO students, as dictated by enrollment pressure. Graduate-level credit (GEOL 606) is also available for graduate students.
Course fees listed above are charged in addition to tuition. Tuition costs for summer 2013 are posted here: 2013 rates. (non-UO students are considered “non-admitted” for registration purposes) Other costs will include occasional meals on days off, lunches in Dillon, MT, and any additional personal expenses.
The first course will start with an organizational meeting at 9:00 a.m. Thursday June 20. The group will return to Eugene on July 30. Students will meet the next morning to clean out the vans and put away gear, and the course will be officially over at noon July 31.
