Living on an organic coffee plantation in Nicaragua
Include your story & a picture:I moved out here from Michigan (transferred from Michigan State) in 2002 after deciding to change majors from Human Biology to Exercise Movement Science in order to ready myself for a career in health care. I have been a personal trainer pretty much the entire time I have lived in Oregon, either in business for myself or for another company. i really enjoy it and it keeps me really close to all the sports and activities I can't live without. I am always playing something, whether it is soccer, basketball, rock climbing, softball (if you call that a sport), or as is currently being undertaken, training for a marathon (Portland 10/7/2007)! If you're interested check out www.brodiemedlock.blogspot.com! I have never run any sort of distance before (200 and 400m competitively), so the journey to 26.2 miles is sure to be kinda funny! I try to tell people what it is like to train and experience distance running!
Gotta love this...
- Yr in school: Senior
- Why are you in this class? I am in this particular class so I can graduate this summer! I also would like to be able to help contain injuries and expedite the healing process as much as possible...the less downtime the better!
- What do you hope to attain from this course? I am hoping to learn quite a bit about how to assess and help begin treating various injuries.
- Career goals: After graduating this summer I will begin chiropractic school in San Francisco in the Fall of 2009. After that...well who knows?
- Summer term goals: Earn an A in this class and take one more step forward to graduation.
I am definitely your classic sports nut. I'll try anything for a challenge! I love putting myself up against a challenge and being pushed to perform my best! I'm also a bit of an adrenaline addict...skydiving, bungee, free climbing, whitewater kayaking, you name it, I LOVE IT ALL!
