stephanie!

* senior *

* because its required for my major (hphy)?? Sorry I dont have a better answer :( I havn't heard much of this course, other than the fact that people liked it a lot. *

* It sounds like an extension of my EMT-B course that I took last year. We learned to asses injuries in emergeny situations, which was pretty cool. This may help me for my EMT-B exam that Im taking in July! *

* I hope to finish my major, go to india for an internship, come back and do med school requirements (including the MCAT) AND THEN, med school!!!!

* have some fun! *

 Linking to a place within your page (from wiki site)

1)    Assign a destination to link from:

a.    Click or highlight the place or word you want to create a link from

b.    Click “Insert Plugin”

c.    Click “PBWiki Magic”

d.    Find and Click “HTML”

e.    In the box write (or copy and paste) this phrase:

<A HREF=”#code for destination”>LINK NAME</A>

f.    For the code for destination it can be abbreviated to initials (Example: for “Things to Do”, it could be “TTD”. Just remember that this code name will be used as an ID of the place you want to go to.

g. Remember to un-bold the letters. I bolded them for emphasis

2)    Assign a destination to link to (where you want the previous link to go)

a.    Click the place where you want to create the link to

b.    Click “Insert Plugin”

c.    Click “PBWiki Magic”

d.    Find and Click “HTML”

e.    In the box write (or copy and paste) this phrase:

<A NAME=”abbreviated code”></A>

f.    The abbreviated code needs to be the same “code for destination” used in the first link (remember Things To Do= TTD?)

g.    You can use this: <A NAME=”abbreviated code”> Title</A>

This format will still direct the first link to this place, but now you have given this place a Title or name that will appear on the page. Try it out, see what I mean.

An explination from an online source

Name Anchors: links to areas on the same page

Anchors can also be used to jump to a specific spot on the same page.

Lets' say you have a page about pets, and at the top of this page you want to provide a link down to the area about your dog. Go to the area about your dog and put a Name Anchor around the title or first word of the 'dog' portion:

<A NAME="dog">All about my dog Fluffy:</A>

Fluffy is my dog. He has a tail, 4 legs and likes to bark.

Now go up to the top of the page where you want to put the link to the 'dog' section. Here is the code for the link at the top of the page:

<A HREF="#dog">Click for Fluffy the Dog</A>

Now when you click on the link on the top of your pets page, it will jump right down to the section about Fluffy!

If you are linking to the Fluffy section from a different page you'll have to do this:

<A HREF="animals.htm#dog">Click for Fluffy the Dog</A>
