Oregon has had a women’s team since the mid 80s and has had streaks of success over the past 3 decades. Oregon Fugue has a history of Callahan winners with Jody Dozono in 1999 and Chelsea Dengler in 2003, and Julia Sherwood placing in the top 5 in 2010.
Since then, Fugue has been a big competitor at Nationals, placing 1st in 2010 and 3rd in 2009 and 2011. Fugue has a history of fielding former USA Junior World’s team members, and have been successful at major tournaments year-round such as Stanford Invite, President’s Day, and Centex in the past few years.
