Her research focuses on the evolution of non-human primate sociality and social systems. She has active field projects with wild bonobos in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and free-ranging primates in the US. She directs the <a href="http://pages.uoregon.edu/fwhite/?page_id=77">Primate Data Lab and the Primate Osteology research laboratory</a> which houses the <a href="http://pages.uoregon.edu/anthro/the-uo-comparative-primate-collection/">UO Comparative Osteology Collection</a>. Dr. White&#8217;s publications have appeared in the American Journal of Primatology, International Journal of Primatology, Folia Primatologica, and American Journal of Physical Anthropology. Her research has been supported by the National Science Foundation,<a href="http://pages.uoregon.edu/fwhite/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/7IMGP0004.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-41 alignright" src="http://pages.uoregon.edu/fwhite/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/7IMGP0004-300x225.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="225" /></a>the Leakey Foundation and other sources. She teaches introductory classes on non-human primates and the evolution of human behavior and sexuality and a Freshman Interest Group (FIG) in animal behavior. Her upper level classes focus on primate behavior, conservation, and feeding and nutrition. Dr. White also teaches graduate level biological  statistics class. Dr. White currently serves as the Director of the University of Oregon&#8217;s Institute of Cognitive and Decision Sciences.</p>
