General Conference Information

• What is included in the registration fee?

Attendance of all the conference sessions and coffee breaks as specified in the conference program. The delegate pack and copies of the presentations in a digital format.

• Does the conference fee include attendance of wine-tasting and the optional banquet dinner?

No, attendance of any field trips and optional dinners are subject to payment of an additional fee.

• Does the conference fee include hotel accommodation or travel costs?

Hotel accommodation is not included in the conference registration fee. Conference participants are responsible for securing and paying for their own lodging. For hotel information, see here.

Travel to and from the event is also the responsibility of the participants.

• Am I insured by the HLS15 organizing committee for the event?

No, all participants are responsible for their own travel insurance for the event.

• How can I arrange to have my special needs met, such as meal requirements or wheelchair access?

If you have special needs, please notify the HLS15 organizers at hls15@uoregon.edu.

• What language will be used during the conference?

The official language of this conference will be English unless otherwise stated.

Purchase and Payments

• How do I register for HLS15?

To pre-register using your credit card, go to registration and follow the link to the secure online registration form. Otherwise, registration fees will be paid upon the commencement of the conference.

• What form of payments do you accept?

We can accept payment online by credit card, or in person by cash or personal check affiliated with a US bank.

• What currencies do you accept?

All payments must be made in US dollars. Payments made by credit card will be debited in US dollars. 

Eugene information

• What will the weather be like in Eugene during the conference?

July/August in Eugene is typically sunny and generally around 80-90ºF (26-32ºC).

• Are there ATMs close to campus?

Yes. There are ATMs in the EMU on campus, or on 13 th St. right across from campus.
