HOPES has the honor of presenting keynotes from: Shigeru Ban, internationally acclaimed architect and structural innovator; Christine Macy and Sarah Bonnemaison, of the research-based design partnership Filum; Permaculture Institute founder Penny Livingston-Stark; and architect and professor Sergio Palleroni, winner of an AIA National Education Award.
The HOPES 12 design charrette will focus on the creation of a Garden Learning Center for the students and faculty of North Eugene High School (NEHS). This is a real project, with real goals, dreams and people, and an opportunity for YOU to contribute to the Eugene community!
Kids HOPES provides young designers-in-training with an opportunity to participate and learn from HOPES while also allowing parents to freely explore the many facets of the conference. Suggested donation is $5 for Saturday and Sunday. Snacks and supplies will be provided. While activities are not taking place, children will rejoin their families.
