Council of Instructional Administrators Resolution General Education Transfer
Module November 4, 2004
Council of Instructional Administrators endorses the concept of a General
Education Transfer Module and the role of the Joint Boards Articulation
Council to finalize the model we have reviewed. This module must be supported
by:
a strong program of academic advising
a framework of transfer pathways to the major
a stated goal of persistence towards completion of a baccalaureate degree
The module must result in sophomore standing and be transcriptable and
honored at all Oregon public colleges and universities. The module needs
to be implemented within the greater goal of an outcomes-based framework
of general education developed through collaboration among community college
and OUS faculty.
