Subject: Follow Up and Thank You

Dear Professor Gilkey (Peter):

It was a great discussion yesterday, led by a pro and engaged by our wonderful SOU faculty and staff. Thank you for coming to SOU yesterday for this discussion. I was impressed and am very grateful.

As promised, I am attaching a copy of the news release from DC about the accountability statement that I gave you in multiple copies yesterday. Also, I'm attaching a summary of a project designed to create public advocacy for what really matters in college - deep and sustainable learning that is both relevant to graduates' needs today and to their ability to live and lead in the complex world going forward. The more we create public advocacy for such expectations in learning and outcomes research, the more we uplift the wisdom of the marketplace and prepare our institutions to succeed in a more enlighted marketplace down the road. This is, I hope, practical idealism.

Thank you very much, Peter.
