I've attached a couple of items I mentioned last week in Ashland:
The "Why Quality Matters" piece may look familiar, since it was developed for the May 2003 System Strategic Planning committee and shared again with the Board in October or November. It was part of a package that accompanied the Joint Boards Statement on the Commitment to Quality, as well as another handout on Quality Indicators.The other piece is a matrix that was developed for the SSP committee meeting last October, as part of an initial discussion on the policy roles of the state, board, system office, and institutions, starting with a focus on quality. Note that we tried to distinguish between system and campus responsibilities for indicators of quality. This never really received a full discussion, since the old board was gone shortly after this piece was developed.
