Stephen
is involved in a wide range of research, training, and program
evaluation projects at the IVDB. He partners with the U.S. Department
of Education: Office of Civil Rights and various state and local
agencies across the U.S. presenting workshops and training in the areas
of bullying, harassment and intimidation in schools. He also engages in
original research in the areas of antisocial behavior, bullying and
harassment, teacher training, and school-wide behavior management. He
has authored several publications addressing antisocial behavior,
bullying and harassment, and systematic supervision. He is a co-author,
along with Hill Walker, Jeff Sprague, and Vicki Nishioka, of School
Safety and Prevention Strategies: Proven and Practical Solutions for
Educators due from Guilford Press in 2004. He is a licensed Early
Childhood/Elementary School Special Education teacher. He received his
Masters in Special Education from the University of Oregon in 1997.
