At our last diglib meeting, Mark asked me to summarize my comments about database software options. Attached is a brief memo. I don't have a recommendation yet, but I'm leaning towards Bob's approach. Next step is to interview the candidate(s) for the NMC Programming/Production Manager position, since that position will be key in the library's emerging strategies in this area. Also, I've hired one of the FITT Center students to work several hours per week for the next few weeks evaluating these tools. More as he learns more.
