Detail showing the wall decoration of the Eating Room (now the North Hall) at Clayden House, Buckinghamshire. The rococo work was carved in wood and painted white, circa 1768 by a certain Lightfoot of whom, otherwise, nothing is known.



Mahogany press cupboard, circa 1760. Note both blind and open fretwork.



Secretary desk made by the firm Vile and Cobb, London, 1762, for Queen Charlotte's apartment in St. James Palace, London. Mahogany veneer and oak. The fretwork panels are cut from three ply mahogany. The surmounting crown is a Victorian addition.
