Youth @ Work: Talking Safety
Teaching Teens About Safety and Health in the Workplace

LERC has been involved in the Oregon Young Worder Health and Safety Coalition, which has supported outreach and opportunities for youth, teachers, employers and parents on young worker health and safety issues. We are currently working on a project to have Train-the-Trainer sessions for teachers on Youth @ Work: Talking Safety, a 3-5 hour curriculum that teaches high school students basic information about occupational safety and health.

The curriculum was developed by the National Young Worker Safety Resource Center. Youth @ Work: Talking Safety is free and available here from the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health.

Contact Laurel Kincl for more information.
