John Robert Smith is President and CEO of Reconnecting America, a national non-profit that seeks to reinvent the planning and delivery system for building regions and communities around transit and walking rather than solely around the automobile. Smith is also the former Mayor of Meridian, Mississippi, and a long-time leader on behalf of passenger rail.

We will discuss how to invest in transportation to create the most jobs for each dollar and how those investments can be financed.
