It is an honor to join you in celebrating your graduation and your achievements this evening. Thank you for being part of the University of Oregon, and thank you for allowing the Office of Multicultural Academic Success to be a part of your educational life.
Together with my staff, I wish you the very best as your academic and career journey continues. Whether you have chosen to move on from the University of Oregon after the close of spring 2011, or will continue to be a part of the University of Oregon community, we wish you continued success in all your endeavors.

Reach for Success 2010
The Office of Multicultural Academic Success (OMAS) is looking forward to hosting its 23rd annual Reach for Success, Saturday, April 17, 2010, for middle schools all across the state to experience a day at the University of Oregon. We are planning a memorable occasion for the students with workshops that are focused on the educational success of students of color. We will be mailing the posters and registration information to you during the week of January 4 – 8, 2010, so please keep an eye out for the information.
We will be accepting registrations for 7th and 8th graders, on a first come, first serve basis, and need to limit our program to 300 students. The registration forms are due no later than 5:00 p.m. on March 1, 2010. In order to meet the demands of the program, the registration forms must be accurate and completed in full with all the information requested. We do not accept fax registrations, so please plan ahead. We are asking each school to limit registration to no more than 20 students. Students must be registered to attend. Last minute substitutions will not be accepted. We request that every five participants be accompanied by one adult. Therefore, if you are planning to bring 15 students from your school or program, you will need three adults to accompany them.

The Office of Multicultural Academic Success is gearing up for the Reach for Success 2010 which takes place on Saturday, April 17, 2010. The registration deadline is March 1, 2010 by 5:00 PM. Registration and additional event information will be posted in January 2010.
