payroll: Revised I-9 Form and 8233 Attachment Letters
Attention Payroll Coordinators:
Form I-9
US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has released yet another
new version of Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification, with an
expiration date of 6-30-09 that must be used on or after April 3, 2009.
NOTE: Use this form only on or after April 3, 2009, but not before.
There have been significant changes to the Form I-9 including the
following:
* Employers will no longer be able to accept expired documents
* The Lists of Acceptable Documents have been revised
* There is a fourth choice for citizenship status under Section 1

Follow the Form I-9 link on the left side of the USCIS home page. There
is also a new Handbook for Employers (Instructions for Completing Form
I-9). See

The Banner Guide, Forms page will be updated late today or early tomorrow
with the new version of the Form I-9.
8233 Attachment Letters
The 8233 Attachment Letters with a revision date of March 2009 have been
updated on the "International Employee Forms" section on the Banner Guide.
Please recycle all printed old forms and always download the most current
forms from the Banner Guide to prevent any delay in processing payroll for
the individual employee.
