payroll: Work-Study and Fiscal Year-End

If you have not already done so for June time entry, please run your PWIPAYR Work-Study Reports to verify the amount of funds remaining for student work-study wages.  The last day to use 2010-11 Federal and UO Work-Study awards is June 10 for undergraduate and graduate students. If students do not have a summer Work-Study award, any hours after June 10 need to be paid as regular wages. If students have unearned spring 2011 Work-Study awards AND summer 2011 Work-Study awards they may be paid from the remaining spring award from June 11 through June 19. Please contact Kyna Burgett, kmbacon@uoregon.edu, at Financial Aid and Scholarships by e-mail to inform her of this use.

Please correct any work-study overpayments immediately. Due to funding restrictions, late timesheets that report work-study wages may not be able to be charged to the work-study funds and your department may be required to pay the full wage earned by the student.

Your help with the work-study reconciliation before the end of this fiscal year is greatly appreciated.
