The EWU is extensively outfitted with facilities for both recycling and composting, including locations in: 50 public areas; the central campus computer lab, all food service areas, a multi-use craft center, student program offices, and the US Post Office. In addition to public sites, all food service kitchens have centralized food service/kitchen recycling and composting sites; and all food service areas have public, post-consumer composting sites. Many student group offices also have centralized public recycling station outside their offices, as well as behind-the-scenes office recycling. In the remodel of the student union, energy conservation tools were installed and recycling stations were built into the trash collection cabinets! A team of student recyclers are dedicating to servicing all of these areas on a daily basis.
