- Hello! Welcome to the webpage for your Math 341 course. This
page will be updated with all of the pertinent information and documents
that you will need for the course, so you should keep it bookmarked and
check it daily. Question about when an assignment is due? Check the
webpage. Lost your syllabus? Check the webpage. Any questions? (If so, check the
webpage.)
- 1/9/12: Due to a previously unforeseen conflict, the office hour that was originally schedled for Friday at 11 has been moved to Tuesday at 11. This has been reflected in the syllabus linked from this page, and on my homepage.
- 1/17/12: There will be an informal gathering, akin to an additional office hour, taking place on Sunday 1/19/12 at 12:30pm at my office, all are welcome to attend. The building should be open, but if it happens not to you can call 541-346-5632 (my office number) to be let in.
Course Documents
- Course syllabus. Updated 1/9/12.
- Reading assignment guidelines.
- Midterm. For midterm corrections:
- Midterm corrections are optional. If you choose to complete them, they will be due Friday, 2/24, in class. As of 2/17, I have not decided how much they will improve your score, but it will be by at least 50% what you lost.
- Turn in a complete solution for any problem where you lost any credit.
- Complete both 1a and 1b. If you did not lose credit on the problem you turned in, you do not have to re-do it on the corrections, but you do have to complete the problem you did not attempt.
- You must include explanations for ALL Always/Sometimes/Never answers, even the ones you got right on the exam.
- You can work together, but not with people outside of our class. I reserve the right to call you into my office to quiz you on what you turn in.
