Linguistic research:
Language description and typology: morphosyntax, information structure and the syntax‑discourse interface. Language contact: mixed and Creole languages. Multilingualism: interference and convergence in bilingual speakers, with focus on Spanish & Kokama.
Language documentation:
Collection of digital recordings including video, audio, photography, etc. and creation of archival materials and resources for language revitalization projects.
Intercultural bilingual education:
Curriculum development —with focus on the design and creation of culturally and linguistically appropriate materials for Amazonian indigenous— and teaching methodologies
