Sweet. The New Pornographers released a 7-inch vinyl for Record Store Day last week. I really enjoy the single Moves as well as the b-side track, A Drug Deal Of The Heart. Check ‘em both out below.
Whoa, I didn’t think I liked Ryan Leslie. That changed when I heard this song. In the first single from his next album Les Is More, the singer/rapper/producer discusses his quest for success and glory as an entertainer. I dig it.
I’ve posted a lot of hip-hop lately and I like to keep things balanced here, so I thought I’d share a band I just stumbled on today. Fitz & The Tantrums. Enjoy.
There were a lot of awesome performances at this year’s Coachella Music Festival, but Kanye took the cake last night. I might be a little biased because I love pretty much anything the guy puts out, but this is awesome. Click the link below for PART 2.
My favorite record label Rhymesayers Entertainment put out a limited release sampler featuring Atmosphere, Brother Ali, Grieves, Evidence, Blueprint, and P.O.S for Record Store Day yesterday. Check out the Atmosphere and Grieves tracks below.
Dang. Vizzy gets better with every release. I can’t believe this is a free “mixtape”. Sounds more like a debut album…This makes me less mad about all of the delays of The Kid With The Green Backpack. The only thing I wasn’t really feelin’ was the album artwork, so I made my own that I used in this post. Feel free to use that in your iTunes. Check out a couple tracks and download the whole thing below.
New Kendrick Lamar produced by J. Cole? YES PLEASE. I definitely hear some Kanye influences here and I’m not complaining. This is great. I can’t stop listening to it. Look out for Kendrick’s solo album Section.80 this summer.

Another new track from XV. He’ll be dropping his new mixtape Zero Heroes on Friday. Apparently this won’t be on it, but it should be awesome. You’ll find the full tape available for download here on Friday. Can’t wait. Vizzy!

This is pretty cool. Instead of following the industry standard of random music video releases in the months following an album release, TV On The Radio put out an hour-long film to accompany their new album that dropped today. Check it out above and download three of my favorite tracks from the album below. Get the whole album on iTunes.
