The following are links to sites that may be useful to students or users of Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) methods.

Guilford - Web site by the publisher of Kline's book on SEM. Includes overheads used in 607.

SEMNET - This listserver provides open forum discussion with an international membership on issues in the application, use, and interpretation of SEM models and software. Sometimes lively exchanges and debate from some of the leaders in the field. Historically, this listserver has been very helpful and supportive of beginners and their questions. Searching the archives and the FAQ (frequently asked questions) can also provide lots of useful information.

Smallwaters - This company is the publisher of AMOS software for SEM. This is the primary software used in EDPSY 593. Smallwaters provides a free, downloadable student version of AMOS for instructional use.

Scientific Software - This company provides products and services for several statistical products including LISREL for SEM and the free student version of LISREL and the HLM program for Hierarchical Linear Model regression models.

EQS - EQS is the SEM software developed by Peter Bentler at UCLA.

Mplus - This is the most recent version of software for SEM developed by Bengt Muthen. The software is particularly well suited to complex SEM models and models using categorical variables.

Structural Equation Modeling: A Multidisciplinary Journal This journal publishes articles on applications of SEM to a wide variety of fields as well as theoretical articles, a Teacher's Corner, and book reviews.

Introduction to SEM using AMOS - Connecting to this link provides access to a very nice introduction to the use of AMOS for SEM developed by Tor Neilands at the University of Austin-Texas. The file is in Adobe acrobat pdf format.

Ed Rigdon's Site - This professor at Georgia State University has been a substantial contributor to the field to SEMNET and to the SEM journal. He maintains an extensive web site with SEM information of all kinds.

Joel West's Site - This site provides lots of useful information on SEM, some bibliographies on SEM, and links to other SEM and statistics web sites.
