EDLD 681 Program Evaluation for Educational Managers I

The goal of EDLD 681 is to develop an understanding of program evaluation philosophy, methods, applications, and standards.  Emphasis is on mastering concepts and their application to issues in educational settings.  A theme in the winter term, 2006 will be the evaluation of personnel in organizations (e.g., teachers, faculty).  A theme in the spring term (EDLD 682) will be the evaluation of programs and organizations (e.g., school effectiveness and NCLB, outcomes assessment in higher education).  Both quarters will include review and discussion of the The Program Evaluation Standards.  This course will be useful for anyone wishing to pose the question “What works?” in educational settings.
