The 1905 Lewis and Clark Centennial and American Pacific Exposition and Oriental Fair in Portland, Oregon was a success; both historically and financially. We will design pavilions for the (potential) Bi-Centennial Exposition to be held in Portland in 2005. Each student will be assigned a location on the main Promenade to locate a pavilion for their "client."

This studio is about Architectonics. It will emphasize efficiency in both the analysis of a problem and the search for its solution. It will be very demanding of time and energy. It is expected that the overwhelming majority of the work will take place in the studio. The educational value of the studio is directly proportional to the time invested in it; it is expected that there will a high investment in, and high return from, this studio experience.

The students who participated and their client countries.

Prof. Dr. Chris H. Luebkeman (Studio Critic)

The Final review (December 1st) will consist of one 1/4" Scale Model
