The Architectonic Studio Case Study Collection

These Case Studies describe not only the way in which the load-bearing structure has been used in the design and construction of buildings around the world, but include an ongoing analysis of the resaons why the particular structure was designed. This collection of works is intented to facilitate learning about structures and how they can be used in, or as, design.

This is electronic courseware designed for both individuals at the earliest stages of their design education as well as for those with a greater experience base. It should not only provide insight into the behavior of small and large structures, but also be a source of inspiration for new and improved solutions to the ancient problem of resisting gravity.
