In this one-week workshop we will create 3D modeling based digital Illustrations mainly using 3d computer software as a powerful tool. Both artistic and technical issues will be addressed. Assignment including two or more 3D computer models, three compositions with variations of lighting effects, surface attributes, environment atmosphere, camera setting. On August 19h, you will hand in 3 prints of rendered high resolution illustrations (300 dpi on 8 1/2" X 11" paper).

You are required to express your own artistic vision/idea by recreating 3D models/environments/lighting/composition mainly based on materials found in these paintings/photographs:

Daily Class Time Breakdown:

9:15am to 10am, Critique student work-in-process

10:15am to 11am, Lecture/Demonstration

11am to 12noon, Lunch Break

12noon to 3pm, Student Lab work (With Sarit's assistance)

3pm to 4pm, Optional Break time

4pm to 6pm, Student Lab work (With Sarit's assistance)
