Notetaking

In this homework assignment students practice different styles of note- taking, some styles are designed for reading notes, some for lecture notes. It's a perfect exercise to begin the term because it helps students immediately identify what note-taking strategies work for them. Have students try a different style of note-taking for the first few readings and lectures of the course. Then ask them to reflect on which style was most useful for them. This also helps you track their reading and comprehension.
