Low Threshold Applications (LTA), are those that are reliable, accessible, and easy to learn. Most are contained in software already on your machine or available free online.
LTAs address:
- Fielding Student Questions Efficiently Online
- Increasing Student Access with Virtual Office Hours
- Giving Feedback on Student Writing
The workshop will each focus on:
- LTAs packaged in standard software applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel , which are not normally associated with educational use,
- Newer educationally designed software that are low cost, and
- Free applications, such as Open Source, that can be modified into an educational forum.
