travelnews: New Travel Per Diems



EFFECTIVE November 1, 2001 the new Travel Per Diem rates are as
follows.  These are all effective changes for travel that occurs
November
1, 2001 or after.  If you have any questions call Carolyn Wooley at

INSTATE

	Low Cities....34.00     meals
		      79.00	lodging(including tax)

	High Cities...34.00	meals
		      88.00	lodging(including tax)

Instate high cities include Ashland, Bend, Portland metropolitan area
and
all Oregon Coastal Communities.

Non-commercial lodging per diem is 25.00.

Mileage rate is 34 cents per mile.


OUT-OF-STATE

	Low Cities....34.00    meals
	              90.00    lodging(including tax)

	High Cities...42.00    meals
	             163.00    lodging(including tax)

Non-commercial lodging per diem is 25.00.

Mileage rate is 34 cents per mile.


PLEASE NOte....When staying at a conference hotel or meeting hotel, you
can claim the high meals per diem even if it is a low cost city.  We
will
pay actual on lodging but receipts would be required if you exceed the
lodging per diem stated above.  This covers in-state, out-of-state, and
foreign travel.  You must also attach documentation that shows it was
the
conference hotel and what the lodging rate was for the conference.
