travelnews: lodging tax

This is to clarify when the lodging tax needs to be itemeized separated
from the lodging amount. If you are claiming actual lodging with
receipts you do not need to itemize the tax separately. The total lodging
amount including tax will be shown in the lodging column.

If you are claiming the standard per diem allowed for the city in which
they stay, you show the per diem in the lodging column and itemize the tax
in the other expenses section. No receipts are required for this method
as long as the tax does not exceed $25.00 a day.

If you have questions please call Carolyn Wooley at 6-3158.
