DESCRIPTION OF COVERAGE: Comprehensive general liability, contingent auto liability, fire legal, employer’s liability, and personal liability for employees performing state business. This coverage assists the state employee with legal representation, provide case management, English-speaking physician, hospital admittance, and coordinate medical evacuation and prepare individuals for travel.

AIG cards are available in the Business Affairs Office (BAO) for employee’s traveling out of the country on State business. These cards provide a policy number, company name, expiration date and phone numbers.

AIG has the resources and experience to deal with the situation and provide efficient and quality assistance. The cards expire January of each year. Please contact BAO Risk Management if employees need further information or a copy of the AIG card to carry with them.

EMPLOYEES MUST REPORT THE COUNTRY THEY ARE TRAVELING TO BEFORE THE TRAVEL DATE. This coverage is for employees performing state business. Do not report if you are vacationing, this coverage does not apply while on your own time.

The University of Oregon obtains liability coverage by reporting the countries on an annual November report to the Department of Administrative Services Risk Management Division.  All potential "out of the country" State business employees must report to BAO Risk Management by November 15th of each year. The report must include estimates for the country traveling to, number of trips, and the employee name, and purpose of trip. (If employee did not have prior knowledge of the future travels before the November reporting, please contact BAO Risk Management to verify coverage).
