Recent rash of vehicle break ins!
Learn what you can do to help protect yourself!
· Rest stops along the I-5 corridor have recently been targets for thieves. When stopping at rest areas consider having one person stay with the vehicle at all times.
· When using vans, you cannot always stow your bags out of plain sight. If you must leave the vehicle, park it in the most visible area. If going in a restaurant, choose one where you can see the vehicle while you are inside dining.
· Always lock your vehicle.
· Park in busy and well-lit areas.
· Never keep your vehicle title, credit cards, wallet, purse, cash or other important documents inside your vehicle.
