The UO REO's goals are as follows:
a. To further the education of members by examining aspects of real estate including; investment, management, and development.
b. To provide networking opportunities to students who show interest in real estate.
c. To foster a positive environment and contribute back to the community
The UO REO is open to all students with at least a sophomore standing and will work to accomplish these goals by bringing in industry professionals in the areas of real estate investment, development, sales and management. Also, the UO REO will participate in property tours, negotiation simulations, speaker luncheons, roundtable discussions, career fairs as well as social and community service events. In future years, this organization has the possibility to expand into different projects. Possibilities include a partnership with Habitat for Humanity where the UO REO oversees the purchase, remodel and donation of a property. Other possibilities include simulations dealing with property investments and REITs (Real Estate Investment Trusts) in a similar fashion to the UOIG. These opportunities will be discussed with the group through out the course of the year. We hope that all members take an active role in the club helping the UO REO create a roadmap for the organization in future years. Please join us in this exciting opportunity.
