Board members and staff take a Corvallis Sustainability Tour!

On Thursday, March 14th, 4 folks from the Sustainability Center took a trip to Corvallis for some serious learning. Our stops?
* We met with colleagues at Oregon State, to hear about their great work with the Student Sustainability Initiative.
* We took a guided tour with the amazing owner of  Gathering Together Organic Farm! They’ve got grafted tomatoes!! Thank you John.
* We got a guided tour of the amazing work being done in the catacombs of Block 15thBrewery! Go Fermentation!
* Finally, to cap it off, our team attended the annual Corvallis Sustainability Coalition Town Hall! An amazing community doing great work together.

I love reading about the events and activities posted on this site. It is such an inspiration. There are a lot of people in your area doing some really great things. I particularly liked reading the “that’s my farmer” post. I’m in rural North Carolina and have never heard of that kind of gathering/event before. I love the idea! It would probably be something well received in my community.
