US0102-6 Scheduling of athletic events during dead week and exam week
RESOLUTION: The University of Oregon Senate resolves that the University
will not schedule regular season football games during dead and finals
week. Exceptions to this rule shall only be made by a majority vote of
the University Senate. Working jointly, the Faculty Advisory Council
and the full Intercollegiate Athletics Committee may stand in for the Senate
during those times of the year when senators do not hold monthly meetings.
This resolution takes effect beginning 15 September 2002. Commitments
made prior to the above date are not affected by the terms set forth in
this resolution.
On 10 April 2002, the UO Senate referred this resolution to the IAC
and to the presidents task force on athletics
