Dear President Clark:

I note the pendency in the March 14, 2007 University Senate meeting of a motion by Professors Ryan and OÕFallon concerning the academic calendar and scheduling of athletic events. I fully support Motion US06/07-12 (amending US00/01-4) as it is drafted.

I note that neither the President nor the Provost was timely informed of the most recently rescheduled Civil War football game. If the pending motion is enacted, the President will assure with great enthusiasm that the circumstances and consultation requested by the motion will be honored.
