Dear fellow Senators:

I append the following letter from Brad Shelton which relates to the forthcoming "motion to rescind" which is on the agenda of the next Senate meeting.

Respectfully submitted

Peter B Gilkey UO Senator 2006/7.

Dear Professor Gilkey,

I write in regards to the Senate Motion to rescind the previous motion US06/07-7. Please feel free to inform Senate members that the Provost's committee on course evaluations has no objections to the motion to rescind. Moreover, recently obtained technical information suggests that running the course evaluation system through finals week, as legislated in the original motion, will be extremely challenging. We now feel that an evaluation period that coincides with dead week is a technically more viable and preferable option.

Sincerely,

Brad Shelton
