CAMPUS HERITAGE LANDSCAPE PLAN Open House

I invite you to review the UO's Heritage Landscape Plan and to attend an Open House to learn about the project and provide feedback:

Thursday, November 15, 2007 Noon - 2:00 p.m. EMU Lobby

The guidelines and surveys are available online for your review at http://uplan.uoregon.edu under the "Projects" link.

The Campus Heritage Landscape Plan is being developed with support from a Getty Foundation Campus Heritage Grant. The Plan includes a comprehensive cultural resource survey of the UO's buildings and landscapes, planning guidelines for preserving open spaces, and preservation plans for primary open spaces and building sites.

The university is fortunate to have such a rich cultural heritage represented by its collection of buildings and landscapes spanning its 125-year history. The Campus Heritage Landscape Plan includes all landscapes and buildings built during three eras of campus development from 1876 to 1974.

Attached is the open-house information flyer, which I encourage you to post.

I think you will find this project interesting, and I look forward to receiving your feedback at the open house, via email ( cthomps@uoregon.edu) or phone (346-5572). Also, I am happy to meet with you (or a group) to further discuss the project.

Thank you,

Christine Thompson
