The Scholastic Review Committee is selected by the University of Oregon Committee on Committees. It is composed of faculty, staff and students. The Scholastic Review Committee for the 2008-2009 academic year is listed below:

The Scholastic Review Committee meets on a regular schedule, every other week, during the academic year. The committee also holds meetings for review during summer term.

 

Student petitions are reviewed at each meeting. At the end of each term the committee meets for End of Term Review, (EOTR). At EOTR the records of students who were disqualified are reviewed. The committee may elect to cancel a student’s disqualification if they deem the reason for disqualification to be due to extenuating circumstances.

Policy and Guideline Changes

 

The committee also discusses SRC policies, and periodically makes changes. During the 2008-2009 academic year, SRC voted to amend policy and guidelines to include an additional academic regulation regarding Academic Warning, Probation, and Disqualification. Policy amended and added to SRC Policies and Guidelines as follows:

 

3-13-09 -- Committee will review students for probation who have three consecutive term GPAs below 2.0 and students for disqualification who have four consecutive term GPAs below 2.0.
