RE: ISSUES CONCERNING TRANSITION TO PROVIDENCE AS THE HEALTH CARE
ADMINISTRATOR

As we all know, PEBB changed its health care administrator from Regence
Blue Cross to Providence as of this past January 1st. This transition has
not gone as smoothly as one might have hoped. There have been reports of
several issues including not receiving health insurance cards to receiving
the wrong card to providers not accepting the card. There is a meeting
this coming Wednesday Jan 13 at PEBB to discuss these issues and I want to
make sure that PEBB hears about all issues that have arisen to date. I
therefore request that you send me a brief note if you or a colleague have
had a problem or issue arising from the change over to Providence. Please
be assured that your note will remain confidential and I will submit to
PEBB a list of issues without specific names attached. I WILL NEED YOUR
EMAIL BY 5PM TUESDAY JAN 12. Thank you very much in advance for your
